Hi! I am Anastasia and I am a Project Manager. I dived into this profession in 2014 in search for my life passion and realized that this is it – Project Management: my passion and best profession ever.
I fluently speak 4 languages: Ukrainian/Russian, English, German and Polish.
I have full career experience for 11 years, as I started working since 18 years old. For 6 years I was working as a trainer and teacher in foreign languages. Then I completely decided to change my life. I started working at Service desk at huge multinational corporation. Without any prior experience. This is when I decided I will be A Project Manager. Since that moment 5 years have passed : I changed 2 corporations and now I work for IBM as Project Manager, last year I passed my PMP and feel very good in what I do, managing complex programs and projects 🙂
What I enjoy most about being a project manager is:
Planning, scoping, managing people, decision making and communication. Managing risks and delivering results.
The three most important skills I use to successfully deliver projects are:
I build and nurture my professional network by:
Communication and keeping in touch with similar professionals.
At the start of my career, the one thing I wish I had known is:
How to find a mentor 🙂
Women who have inspired me so far in my career journey are:
Russian Politician Irina Chakamada
The most valuable advice I have ever been given is:
Define your key results area and develop them as best as you can.
My advice for women on finding success as a project manager is:
Think differently. And be able to stand your ground in male world, and be treated on same grounds as men and be given respect what men take for granted.
