Genevieve comes from a Software Engineering background and worked in Telstra’s as a Program Manager and Project Manager delivering solutions for Telstra customers. Genevieve is currently responsible for the delivery of Telstra’s Digitisation of Order to Activate, managing a team of 90 people.
Prior to joining Telstra Genevieve worked in software development and support for Sensis, Siemens, News International and IBM as well as a few dot.com companies.

Any project where an individual develops while working for me.
Why is a career as a Project Manager a great choice for women?
Project Management has a level playing field, in a job that provide variety and flexibility for women. Every project brings new people and new opportunities.
How can women stand out in the field of Project Management?
By their intellect, and their ability to communication and bringing people along for the journey.
What are some of the challenges women face as Project Managers?
Over bearing people, you have to be prepared to stand your ground. The key is to know when to stand and when to yield.
What can we do to help women to be exceptional Project Managers?
Provide Role models, training and mentoring. Highlighting companies who values enable women project manager to grow. Peer support.
Any other comments about Women in Project Management?
It is a great career with opportunities as each project is a new adventure. For me it has lead to opportunities to join Telstra’s leadership group within IT.
