Bio:

Sonali is an accomplished Project Management professional with over 14 years of work experience. She has worked across various industries ranging from telecom to finance and health sectors. She is passionate about transforming businesses through business consulting, streamlining project delivery and mentoring/guiding people through organisational and business changes. Sonali is currently associated with Seven Consulting as a Senior Consultant, where she focusses on successful Project Delivery, Stakeholder Management and implementation of industry wide best practices in order to provide best outcome for the clients.

What I enjoy most about being a project manager is:

Being in the Project Management space provides me with the opportunity to work on different projects, which brings new challenges and learnings. I also get to interact and work with a variety of people on a number of aspects such as financial and stakeholder management.

I build and nurture my professional network by:

I build my network by getting involved with a number of organisations that support Project Management and especially Women in Project Management. I nurture it by reaching out to them on a regular basis and lending a helping hand as and when required. I also mentor budding Project Management professionals and offering them insights based on my experiences.

At the start of my career, the one thing I wish I had known is:

Everyone, especially women should value themselves and their work more. They should put a price tag on their work.

Women who have inspired me so far in my career journey are:

The women that I meet and interact everyday. I have been very fortunate to be surrounded with inspirational women both at workplace and within my personal circle of female friends.

The most valuable advice I have ever been given is:

Be authentic.

My advice for women on finding success as a project manager is:

Believe in yourself and take charge of your career.
