Bio:

I’ve been in various project management roles for more than 10 years now. I have PMP, PRINCE2 and Scrum Fundamentals professional certificates. I have special interest in Risk and Change Management. My work experience includes companies from real estate industry, IT and Software development companies.
For the last two years I’ve been based in Essen, Germany, working as a PMO for one of the biggest and most important strategic German companies- Thyssenkrupp.

What I enjoy most about being a project manager is:

I can plan! Planning is one of my favorite activities not only professionally but also in my daily life. My favorite saying: Failing to plan is planning to fail.

The three most important skills I use to successfully deliver projects are:

Communication, communication, communication.

I build and nurture my professional network by:

I usually use LinkedIn but also Project Management Institute website and chapters. The community there is built mostly by PM professionals.

At the start of my career, the one thing I wish I had known is:

That actually project management is not so complicated as it seemed to me. A proper organization and coordination really make things much easier.

Women who have inspired me so far in my career journey are:

Sasha Bezuhanova, Gwynne Shotwell

The most valuable advice I have ever been given is:

Make sure that you really understand the project requirements. In details.

My advice for women on finding success as a project manager is:

Read a lot, improve your knowledge and skills, be competitive!
